What is a Soho Friends Membership?

The Soho Friends Membership is an exclusive membership that brings you a bit of the Soho House experience, without the cost.

For an annual fee, this membership allows you to access discounted rates on all our bedrooms globally, take advantage of benefits in their restaurants, spas, and enjoy exclusive savings on Soho Home and Soho Skin care products.

But it’s not just about the tangible perks. As a Soho Friends member, you’re granted access to out of House festivals and events too.

While it doesn’t include access to Club spaces in the Houses, they’ll treat you like part of the community, both inside and outside of the clubhouse.

In short, the main difference between The Soho Friends Membership and Soho House Membership comes down to exclusivity, cost, and where you’re allowed to go.

Unlike the comprehensive Soho House Membership that grants you full access to different Houses around the globe, the Friends Membership is more focused on providing an enriching urban experience.

Essentially I’d say it’s for those who like the Soho House ethos but prefer a lighter degree of engagement and costs, connecting you to the community and experiences without needing full access to all its club spaces.

What Does a Soho Friends Membership Give You?

Instead of providing unrestrained access to all Houses (which might be overwhelming for some), the Soho Friends Membership focuses on helping you craft a cool urban lifestyle through its perks.

Although it doesn’t grant you access to all Club spaces, it does include:

• Discounted room bookings: Enjoy 15% discounts on bedrooms at all Soho House properties worldwide.
• Late checkout: Snooze a bit longer with a late checkout till 12pm.
• Opportunity for room upgrades: For stays of 3 nights or longer, you’ll also have the chance to upgrade your room, based on availability.
• Shopping benefits: Avail a generous 15% off at Soho Homea and 25% off at Cowshed and Soho Skin, with an array of chic home and skincare products.
• Spa discounts: Reduced rates on Soho House spa treatments for city pampering.
• Dining Discounts: Benefit from 20% off at public restaurants from 4pm every Sunday and all day from Monday to Wednesday.
• Access to Studios: Depending on the availability, you can access Soho House’s Studios, ideal for those who need a creative space to work and mingle.

How Much is a Soho Friends Membership?

One of the best things about the Soho Friends Membership is the price difference between a normal Soho House membership.

The Soho Friends Membership, like most things Soho House, is an investment.

According to their website (as of 2025–2026), a Soho Friends membership costs £100 in the UK, €140 in the EU, and $130 in the US — billed annually.

This annual fee gives you access to a host of benefits including discounted rates on their bedrooms globally, in addition to their restaurants and spas + exclusive savings on Soho Home, Cowshed, and Soho Skin products.

So in terms of ‘Is a Soho Friends Membership worth it?’ if you plan to take advantage of the discounts, experiences, opportunities, and community engagement then I’d say yes, it’s worth it.

Is It Hard to Get a Soho Friends Membership?

Acquiring a Soho Friends Membership isn’t shrouded in extreme exclusivity or complexity in the same way a Soho House membership is.

It’s rather straightforward and essentially includes showing you align with the brands’ ethos on your application form.

Given the Soho House originated as a club centered around the creative community this could include demonstrating your leanings or accomplishments in the creative industry and overall filling in the application form as thoroughly as you can (don’t rush it)!

Can I Go to the Soho House with a Friends Membership?

No, and that’s a huge difference between the Soho Friends Membership and Soho House Membership to take into consideration.

Although there is a host of benefits and discounts associated with the Soho Friends Membership, the ability to freely access all the Soho Houses isn’t one of them.

Specifically, with a Friends Membership, you need to be staying the night in one of the Soho House bedrooms to gain entry to most of the clubs.

However, you do get access to studios where available to chill, work, and mingle with other Soho House and Soho Friends members — I know, it gets a bit confusing!

P.S. – If you have a friend that’s a Soho House member you can also visit the house with them as a guest!

How to Apply for a Soho Friends Membership

Luckily you can breathe easy when it comes to applying to be a Soho Friends member — it’s super straightforward!

Soho Friends Application Process:

1. Head to the ‘Soho Friends Membership‘: Soho House’s website is your launchpad to all things membership applications. Just go ahead and explore the Soho Friends Membership page and click on the “Apply now” button.
2. Filling in the blanks: You’ll then be prompted to create an account and fill out the online application form. This is the point where you share a bit of your life story and why you’d make a great Soho Friends member. Honesty is the best policy here.
3. The waiting game: Once you submit the application, it’s all about playing the waiting game. Expect to hear back anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (typically).

Tips to Boost Your Chances to Become a Soho Friends Member:

Although it’s relatively easy to become a Soho Friends Member, here’s some final tips to stand out on your application.

1. Embrace your uniqueness: There’s no secret formula to success, but being yourself and showcasing your true interests can certainly help. Soho House members are an amazing mix of creative, diverse, and passionate individuals, and so are Soho Friends members.
2. Show your Soho spirit: Soho House is all about culture and connection. Your application will be well-received if you can express your own connection with the ideals that the brand upholds. It’s like finding a kindred spirit!
3. Membership by association: If you’re already pals with a Soho House member, they can nominate you! That’s right, a nod from a current member sometimes helps to smooth out the process. Networking skills at work.
