#Ad @luxury.escapes Thailand is one of those desti #Ad @luxury.escapes Thailand is one of those destinations where you really don’t have to choose between city, culture and beach…you can have all three šŸ‡¹šŸ‡

For a first trip, I’d combine:

šŸ“Bangkok for temples, rooftop views and food
šŸ“Chiang Mai for night markets, mountain temples and a slower pace
šŸ“Krabi for limestone cliffs, island-hopping and beach days

When you search ā€˜Thailand’ on @luxury.escapes you can get incredible deals for your next luxury trip (and I do mean incredible, there’s currently a three-night stay for two at the five-star Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort from Ā£349, yes, really).

Just search Thailand on Luxury Escapes and use code candacelondonblogger06 for 10% off any hotel, tour or experience booking!

Which Thailand stop would you fancy most?

How to do a holiday to Glasgow šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ

Writing you straight from Aberdeen and reminiscing on all my Scotland trips since moving to the UK a frighteningly quick 10 years ago.

(Hack: if you need to escape London’s heatwaves, just go to Scotland.)

If Aberdeen’s the Granite City, then Glasgow’s the cool one. Here’s some bits to get up to:

P.S. — Comment GUIDE for my full Glasgow travel guide, including the hotel we stayed at, the best things to do for a weekend itinerary or a one-day itinerary if you’re short on time x

✨ Things to Do:

šŸŽ“ Wander around the University of Glasgow + gawk at Gothic architecture

šŸ–¼ļø Visit the free Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum

🌿 Explore Glasgow Botanic Gardens and Kibble Palace

⛪ Visit Glasgow Cathedral and walk up through Glasgow Necropolis for the views

šŸŽØ Wander Merchant City and follow Glasgow’s Mural Trail

šŸ›ļø Browse the vintage stalls, local food and antiques at Barras Market

šŸŽ¶ See what’s on at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut

šŸ“ Where to Eat & Drink:

🄃 Try haggis, neeps and tatties at The Piper Whisky Bar

ā˜• Stop for coffee or brunch at Wilson Street Pantry

šŸ• Grab Napoli-style pizza at Nonna Said near Barras Market

šŸŗ Have a mini brewery crawl between Tennent’s and Drygate

šŸ› Finish with dinner at Dishoom Glasgow—the Lamb Chettinad is glorious

šŸ“My favourite pick:

Seeing live music at King Tut’s, where Oasis were famously discovered and signed!

Is a cool weekend in Glasgow on your list? Hopefully these photos tempt you…

Happy travels,
Candace x

Ad Work trip to London coming up? šŸ“Œ SAVE this f Ad Work trip to London coming up? šŸ“Œ SAVE this for some Londoning to do between meetings šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Spent the day with @getnavan Business Travel Show Europe, learning more about how its super simple AI-powered platform brings travel booking and expenses together all in one place.

The booking vault (where you could win a fabulous suitcase and at another, a trip to Paris!) and minibar activations were a fun way to see the platform brought to life—but the biggest takeaway for me was how much easier business travel could feel when everything isn’t spread across different systems, especially as someone who travels for work all the time.

Once the work part is finished, you can take up some of my London picks, like:

šŸ“ Horizon 22 for free skyline views
šŸ“ Duck & Waffle for lush afternoon tea
šŸ“ La Plage du Pont for rooftop drinks by Tower Bridge

Do you have a London work trip coming up? Let me know in the comments, and be sure to check out @getnavan before you do. āœˆļø

Going to Wimbledon is one of those fabulous London summer experiences that really does live up to the hype.

Comment ROYAL, and I’ll send you my full Windsor Comment ROYAL, and I’ll send you my full Windsor Castle guide—including how to get there from London, ticket advice, what to see inside, how long to spend and what else to do while you’re in Windsor. šŸ°

I’ve visited plenty of castles since moving to England, but there’s something quite surreal about walking through one that’s nearly 1,000 years old and still used as a working royal residence today.

Inside you’ll find the State Apartments, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and St George’s Chapel, where Queen Elizabeth II, Henry VIII and several other monarchs are buried. And because the castle is still used for State Visits, royal ceremonies and official events, it’s definitely somewhere to plan to visit vs. just rocking up!

P.S. — I was graciously invited by the @royalcollectiontrust , which is why I was allowed to capture the interior clips you see in this video. Photography and filming aren’t normally permitted inside Windsor Castle.

Would you add Windsor Castle to your England trip?

Underrated places in Europe I’ve loved recently Underrated places in Europe I’ve loved recently (because it’s not all about Paris and Santorini!)—with a few of my favourite things to do in each šŸ“Œ

šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø GIJƓN, NORTHERN SPAIN

Tucked in Northern Spain Gijón is a coastal city in Asturias, and such a good one if you want a totally different side of Spain from the usual Barcelona/Madrid/Andalusia route. Think city beaches, colourful old fishing-quarter streets, Roman ruins, Asturian cider culture and some of the freshest seafood I’ve had in Spain.

My favourite things to do:

🌊 Walk along Playa de San Lorenzo

šŸ˜ļø Wander through Cimavilla, the old fishing quarter

šŸ½ļø Go for dinner and cider at Tierra Astur

🌿 Head up to Cerro de Santa Catalina for views or Laboral City of Culture in Gijón for history

šŸ¦ž Have a seafood lunch if you can—Los Pisones was incredible

šŸ‡²šŸ‡¹ MALTA

Malta is a tiny island country in the Mediterranean between Sicily and North Africa, with layers of history from the Knights of St John to British rule, it’s so much more than just a beach trip.

My favourite things to do:

šŸ‘©šŸ½ā€šŸ³ Take a Maltese cooking class with Pippa Mattei

šŸ· Go wine tasting at Meridiana Wine Estate

šŸŒ… Have dinner with Valletta views

šŸ›„ļø Take a boat trip to St Peter’s Pool

šŸ›ļø Leave time for Valletta—it’s far too good to rush

šŸ‡¬šŸ‡· AEGINA, GREECE

One of the Saronic Islands, just a ferry ride from Athens, and perfect if you want a short Greek island escape, with ancient ruins, a sweet little port town, seaside restaurants and glorious

My favourite things to do:

šŸ˜ļø Wander Aegina Town

šŸ›ļø Visit the Temple of Aphaia

🄜 Try all things pistachio

šŸ½ļø Stay for a lush seafood lunch at AMMOS in the port town if you have time

So, which would go for…a weekend in Northern Spain, cooking classes and a winery break in Malta or a sunny Greek island day trip?

šŸ›ļø OXFORD

How to get there: Take direct train from London Paddington or Marylebone Station to Oxford, usually around 1 hour.

Things to do: Explore the historic university buildings, visit the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford Botanic Garden, Christ Church for the Harry Potter bits, and climb St Mary’s Tower for city views.

Tip: Book popular college visits in advance, especially Christ Church.

šŸ›¶ CAMBRIDGE

How to get there: Direct train from King’s Cross Station to Cambridge, usually around 1 hour–1 hour 15 minutes.

Things to do: Wander the historic colleges, visit the Fitzwilliam Museum, explore Cambridge Botanic Garden, browse Market Square, and go punting on the River Cam.

Tip: If you don’t go punting, still leave time to sit by the river and watch the punts go by!

🌊 WHITSTABLE

How to get there: Direct train from London Victoria to Whitstable, around 1 hour 25 minutes.

Things to do: Wander the high street, eat oysters by the harbour, walk along the beach huts at Tankerton, and finish with cream tea at Whitstable Castle.

Tip: Bring layers—even on a sunny day, the coast can get breezy…

ā˜€ļø DURDLE DOOR

How to get there: Take the train from London Waterloo to Wool, then a 5-10 min Jurassic Breezer bus to Durdle Door.

Things to do: See Durdle Door, walk the Jurassic Coast, add Lulworth Cove, have beach time, and stop at The Ship Inn near Wool Station if you have time before heading back.
