#AD @stanstedexpress Off to Florence to wander thr #AD @stanstedexpress Off to Florence to wander through Renaissance streets, stand in awe of Michelangelo’s David, and eat pasta and gelato like it’s a full-time job 🍝🇮🇹

But first — the airport. And let’s be honest, that part’s usually... a faff. But not with Stansted Express 🚊

I hopped on from Liverpool Street, and in just 50 minutes, I was at Stansted Airport — no traffic, no transfers (or stress). Trains run every 15 minutes, with great ticket options like Advance, Group, and WebDuo, so whether you’re travelling solo or with your travel bestie, it’s super easy.

Let me know where you’ll be travelling this summer in the comments! And be sure to take the Stansted Express when you do ✨

Happy travels,

It’s difficult to put your whole life in a paragraph, but if I had to…I’m Candace 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’m 27, a Capricorn to a T, and a full-time travel blogger & content creator who moved to the UK at 18 from the US on a whim for uni (college), building my entire adult life abroad ever since — from university and MBA life in the city to working in startups across London, meeting my other half and manifesting my teenage dream to turn my love of writing and sharing about destinations into a full-time career.

London & the UK is my forever home and I love sharing tips, guides, and itineraries on the best bits to do, see and experience across London, the UK and Europe — especially if it’s boutique, local or lovely mid-luxury.

I only recommend what I would to a best friend on my blog and socials, so if you’re here — welcome welcome ♥️ and nice to meet you!

5 Lovely things to do in London with your mu(o)m 🇺🇸🇬🇧 (or any woman you care about in your life 🫶🏽)

🫖 🍰 Indulge in afternoon tea together

We did Brigit’s Bakery Bus Tour and it was as fun as it was delicious (bonus points for sightseeing with your scones).

🎡 Get your Zone 1 tourist on

Yes, it’s cheesy, yes, you must do it. From Big Ben to Buckingham Palace, tick off the classics together!

 🎭Dinner & a West End show

We went to Le Garrick in Covent Garden then saw Tina at the Aldwych Theatre. Highly, highly recommend.

🖼️ Museum day out

Whether it’s the V&A or the Natural History Museum (or one of London’s hundreds of big and small museums) you really can’t go wrong. Free and fabulous.

🚂 Leave London

We hopped over to Bath and it’s easily became one of my favourite memories with my mom. (That and watching her try haggis for the first time in Edinburgh…).

It’s not often my parents come to visit (I usually fly back to the US twice a year), so having this time with my m(u)om in London was extra special, hope it gave you some inspo ♥️

Happy Londoning,

📌 SAVE for your next UK adventure 🇬🇧 bec 📌 SAVE for your next UK adventure 🇬🇧 because getting outside London into England’s villages should be on everyone’s bucket list 🏡 Clovelly is a stunning, ancient village dating back to 1086, famously listed in the Domesday Book. It’s picturesque, charming, car-free and has been privately owned for over 800 years, helping preserve its cobbled streets and fishing heritage.

Wander its quaint shops, try a Cornish pasty, and soak up the history that inspired writers like Charles Dickens.

Plus just a short drive away is Sandymouth Bay Beach - National Trust — perfect for breathtaking coastal views.

Practicals ↓

1️⃣ Clovelly is car-free to keep its unique charm — and you’ll pay a small entry fee that helps maintain the village.

2️⃣ It’s about a 4.5 to 5-hour drive from London so worth making a 3-4 day trip around North Devon and or nearby Cornwall (southwest coast of England)

3️⃣ You can easily explore the village in a few hours but if you’re keen to make a day of it there’s a few lovely B&Bs and pub hotels in the village like The Red Lion Hotel, The New Inn Hotel or Harbour View Cottage

Let me know if you’ve heard of Clovelly before or if it’s going on your list!

One thing I’ve never understood is why people ju One thing I’ve never understood is why people judge tourists for doing touristy things. In my opinion, there’s no invisible ‘traveller points’ you get by going to London and not getting a Big Ben pic, going to Paris and not cheesin’ it at the Eiffel Tower or going to Prague and not having a Chimney Cake (or two).

On that note, here’s everything to get up to for a touristy and fun first day in the city of Prague 🇨🇿✨

🥐 Take a morning stroll through Prague’s storybook streets and the beautiful Old Town Square

🕰️ Watch the whimsical tick-tock of the Astronomical Clock

📚 Snap a shot at iconic infinite tower of books at the Municipal Library

🌉 Savour the views from the legendary Charles Bridge

🍦 Have a chimney cake moment — warm, sweet, cinnamon perfection

🎨 Pose by the colourful John Lennon Wall

🍽️ Devour authentic Czech food (and Czech beer, naturally) at Nicolas

⛪ Marvel at the gothic beauty of St Vitus Cathedral

🍷 & end your day at Villa Richter — the oldest vineyard in the country, with dreamy views to match

What are your thoughts on ‘touristy days’ when you travel?

📌 SAVE for your visit 🌿 7 Things to See at 📌 SAVE for your visit 🌿 7 Things to See at Kew Gardens

There’s things you can get everywhere (cathedrals, city squares, nice restaurants), and then there’s London’s Kew Gardens — the largest botanical garden in the world! It’s easily one of my favourite spots in London and I’ve been more times than I can count - which to be honest to see it all you may need to 😅 here’s a few of the best bits to check out on your visit:

🏰 Kew Palace – Explore the cosy royal home of George III and Queen Charlotte.

🌱 Glasshouses – Step inside the Palm House, Temperate House, and Diana’s Waterlily House.

🐉 Great Pagoda – Climb 10 stories for stunning views and those iconic dragons.

🌳Treetop Walkway – Walk 18m high through the treetops and soak in nature.

🌸 Waterlily House – See giant Amazon waterlilies floating in a steamy glasshouse.

🐝 The Hive – Discover the fascinating world of bees up close.

👑 Queen Charlotte’s Cottage – Find a peaceful royal hideaway in the gardens.

Practicals ↓

1️⃣ Tickets are £22 online or £25 at the gate peak season and £11 - £16 off-peak season + concession prices, or you can become a Kew member for unlimited visits throughout the year

2️⃣ Kew’s huge (132 hectares/330 acres) — you could spend all day here and still not see everything so I’d start in the morning if you can

3️⃣ There’s cafes, a restaurant and afternoon tea here too if you get peckish during your visit

Let me know if you’ve been to Kew Gardens before or if it’s on your list!

One of my favourite things about the UK is all of the lovely historical cities, monuments, and stately homes to explore. If you’re after cobbled streets, ancient wonders, and stepping back in time on your next UK adventure, here’s some destinations to add to your list…

📍York – Wander along some of the best-preserved city walls in the country, step inside the oodles of Gothic beauty that is York Minster, and don’t miss The Shambles for a real-life medieval time warp (there’s also deep Viking history to explore here too).

📍Lincoln - Home to the incredible Lincoln Cathedral (which was the tallest building in the world for two centuries) and a rare and original copy of the Magna Carta. There’s also some very intriguing Imp legend history here too…

📍Bath – Roman Britain is alive and well here. The Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, and sweeping Georgian architecture make it a must. An absolute treat for Jane Austen fans too.

📍Oxford – Home to one of the oldest universities in the world (since 1096!), this city is filled with medieval colleges, historic libraries, and unmistakable academic grandeur.

📍Stonehenge – A short trip from London (in Wiltshire), this prehistoric site is filled with historic mystery and wonder, giving an incredible insight into ancient life and beliefs. Be sure to visit for their Winter Solstice if you can!

📍London – If you look close enough the city is essentially a living museum - from iconic and well-known monuments like the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey to the hundreds of ancient streets, monuments and tales of the past all dotted around the city…

Where are you headed first?

Happy travels,

Feeling all kinds of excitement today after a love Feeling all kinds of excitement today after a lovely new booking for our London at Christmas tour ✨ @lovelymomentstours

Our guest shared that she’s looking forward to our itinerary and an amazing pre-Christmas trip with like-minded women, and honestly, we couldn’t agree more.

This December, we’re bringing together a group of 8–12 women (27+) who are craving connection, relaxation, and of course, the magic of London at Christmas.

All of our tours are application-only, so we can thoughtfully curate a lovely group each time.

We’ll be shifting our focus to our 2026 trips very soon — so if this December feels aligned for you, now’s the time to explore the full itinerary (link in bio) and see if it’s the right fit.

We’d love to have you join us.
