This might be one of the most important hotels in This might be one of the most important hotels in India. 🕌

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel opened in 1903, founded by Jamsetji Tata, and has been part of Mumbai’s story ever since.

World leaders and cultural icons have passed through its doors—from Queens and Kings, Barack Obama to Oprah Winfrey—even President Emmanuel Macron was staying during our visit.

Rooms look straight onto the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea. Breakfast is beautifully done, and if you have the time, make sure to stop by the Harbour Bar to try its original 1933 Prohibition-era cocktail.

📌 Save for your Mumbai stay. Would you stay at @tajmahalmumbai?

Happy travels,

3 Days in Mumbai 🇮🇳✨ Mumbai is one of the 3 Days in Mumbai 🇮🇳✨

Mumbai is one of the most interesting cities I’ve ever been to—it’s lively, historic, and somehow always moving. Between the heat, the colour, the traffic, the sea air, and the deliriously incredible food, it deserves far more than a few days. But if a few days is all you have, here are a few bits to get up to:

🏨 @tajmahalmumbai (book a sea-facing room if you can)

🕌 Gateway of India early in the morning

🖼 @ngma.mumbai National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai for a city respite

🚂 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus for gorgeous photo ops

🍤 @trishnamumbai for coastal seafood

🌅 Marine Drive at sunset

🎞 Regal Cinema + a stop at @leopoldcafemumbai or @cafemondegar

🍛 @bagdadicolabaofficial for local, no-frills Bombay classics

🕊 Mani Bhavan (Gandhi’s former residence) @manibhavanmumbai

🌿 Malabar Hill Elevated Nature Walking Trail

🏖 Juhu Beach for a slower pace (+ stay at @_sohohousemumbai_ and explore the chic Bandra neighbourhood nearby)

🛍 Linking Road Market—and yes, be ready to bargain

Mumbai is a working city first and a tourist destination second—which, in my opinion, is exactly what makes it so compelling. I already can’t wait to come back and explore more.

📌 Save this for your trip and let me know if Mumbai’s made your list.

Happy travels,
Candace x

P.S. If you’re local and have a favourite I missed, feel free to add it in the comments. X

📍A Classic London Day in Kensington If you’r 📍A Classic London Day in Kensington

If you’re looking for a neighbourhood that feels distinctly London—Kensington is well worth visiting (and revisiting). From its green space to world-class concert venues, and lovely restaurants and coffee shops, here are a few bits to get up to for a day here:

☕ Take a slow walk through Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens (with a tea/bite at The Serpentine Café)

🏰 Stop by Kensington Palace and take in the Diana Memorial Gardens

🏛 Choose one of the three museums clustered in South Kensington to pop into—from the @natural_history_museum, to the @sciencemuseum and @vamuseum

🏡 Wander Kensington’s iconic mews streets tucked behind the main roads (Kynance Mews is a favourite!)

🎶 End near Royal Albert Hall as the evening sets in—they have tons of concerts on year-round, but even if you don’t have a show on, it’s lovely to see from the outside too

If you’d like my full Kensington mini-guide with more things to do, restaurants, pubs and bars, comment ROYAL and I’ll send it to you. 🇬🇧

Would you visit this London neighbourhood?

An evening at the London Transport Museum with the An evening at the London Transport Museum with the Mayor of London @mayorofldn!

I moved to London in 2016 (the same year he first became Mayor) so standing in the museum nearly a decade later reflecting on the city’s evolution was beyond full-circle.

I still remember landing at Heathrow with two oversized suitcases and absolutely no idea how to navigate the Tube properly. Pretending I wasn’t overwhelmed at starting adulthood in a new country. And somehow figuring it out.

And a real highlight of the evening—finally meeting @bemi.omo.oroje, whose love for London is infectious.

ad @lner 48 Hours in Lincoln, England 🇬🇧 📌 SAVE for later

If you’re looking for a UK weekend that’s easy to reach, rich in history, and lovely to explore on foot, Lincoln is a brilliant choice.

Here’s how I’d spend 48 hours in Lincoln ⬇️

🚆 Travel up from London King’s Cross with @lner, it’ll get you to Lincoln in under two hours!

🏨 Check in at @castlehotellincoln — right in the historic quarter

⛪ Visit @lincolncathedral One of the most important cathedrals in England, with deep ties to the Magna Carta and once the tallest building in the world.

🏰 Explore @lincolncastle Built by William the Conqueror, and home to one of the best castle wall walks in the country, with views right across the city.

🛍️ Wander Steep Hill & The Strait — a beautiful cobbled stretch full of independent shops, cafés, and historic corners.

Make sure to visit @lincolnimporium to learn about Lincoln’s (and mischievous) imp folklore, and keep your eyes peeled for imps carved throughout the city ✨

They’ve also shared some great local recommendations over on my ‘Lincoln’ Instagram highlight.

🍸 Evening drinks at @straitandnarro for creative cocktails in a relaxed, local bar.

🍽️ Dinner at @oleoletapaslincoln — a much-loved local favourite serving incredible Spanish tapas.

👻 Take a Lincoln ghost walk…A fun way to see the city after dark and lean into its slightly spooky side…

🌿 Take a calm, leafy walk through @lincolnarboretum, perfect for easing into Sunday.

🍽️ And @wigandmitre1 for a classic Sunday roast to round off the weekend.

When it’s time to head home, hop back on @lner, and you’ll be back at King’s Cross in under two hours.

It’s a city best explored on foot and incredible for a relaxed two-day visit from London.

Have you been to Lincoln before, or would you add it to your UK weekend list? 💭

Happy travels,
Candace x

Rome quickly and deliriously became one of my favourite weekend escapes from London, and it’s quite easy to see why…

What’s it like to celebrate Chinese New Year in What’s it like to celebrate Chinese New Year in London?

London is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and that shows up in how celebrations take shape across the city.

One of the quieter ways to mark it is through food, 🍽️ think fortune money bags, wok-seared sea bream, grilled Australian tenderloin, golden mandarin desserts, all designed to be shared.

A reminder that some of the best celebrations in London don’t happen in the streets, but around a table.

Are you marking Chinese New Year this year?

It’s London’s highest public garden, with 360° skyline views and greenery from the Mediterranean and South Africa beneath a vast glass vault. Looking for a luxury London hotel in London? 📌

The Adria is a small boutique hotel set inside a Victorian townhouse in South Kensington, and a beautiful London home away from home…

Outside of the incredible classic English decor, one of my favourite thoughtful touches were the rooms being individually named rather than numbered (we stayed in Parliament), and the guest service is impeccable.

While you’re here, take up all East Village has to offer - there’s such a community feel here, from wandering around the surrounding green spaces 🌿, popping into independents like @boboandwild, and getting a feel for everyday life in one of East London’s coolest neighbourhoods.
