Nestled in the borough of Southwark, Dulwich is renowned for its beautiful parks, popular art galleries, stunning period houses, and – you guessed it—brunch spots.
Over the years this has quickly become one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London, which of course, means I’ve tried plenty of Dulwich brunch spots along the way.

Where to Brunch in Dulwich: A Local’s Guide
1. Megan’s in the Hamlet Restaurant

Starting the list with a classic, Megan’s in the Hamlet Restaurant is the place that’ll make you feel like you’re waking up to a sunny summer’s day at a Mediterranean beach house.
This enchanting restaurant, adorned with dreamy fairy-lit interiors and blooming foliage, offers an ideal setting for a brunch getaway in the South London neighbourhood. But it’s not only about the setting!
Their brunch menu is a mouthwatering mix of hearty and healthy dishes. You can go as traditional as you please, although I’d recommend going ‘crazy’ and having a stuffed pita or a Mediterranean Tray. Paired with an iced coffee with Megan’s twist, of course.
Don’t leave without giving their famous Chelsea buns a whirl, a sweet end (literally) to a delightfully delectable brunch at Megan’s!

2. Great Exhibition

Who said pubs couldn’t do brunch right? Enter the Great Exhibition.
This warm and welcoming pub nestled in East Dulwich has a home-away-from-home vibe complete with Bloody Marys and yummy breakfast sandwiches.
Must try: The Golden Beetroot, Butterbean & Beet Hummus Sandwich
3. Flotsam & Jetsam at Dulwich Picture Gallery

Art and food are two of life’s finest pleasures and at Flotsam & Jetsam at Dulwich Picture Gallery, you get the best of both worlds.
This snug hideaway sits perfectly within the historic gallery, so it’s perfect for a leisurely brunch before or after you explore the popular gallery. Talk about a good day!
Here, you’ll feast on the best of the season, as they change their menu to adapt to the local produce. I personally love everything they do with chorizo, but you’ll have plenty of options, including a Halloumi Toastie, Belgian Waffles, Wild Mushrooms and Espresso Eggs Benedict.
Must try: The Cheesy Chorizo Toastie
4. Blue Brick Cafe
14 Fellbrigg Rd, London SE22 9HH
Caffeine lovers rejoice! Blue Brick Cafe is here.
This unpretentious, comfy Dulwich hangout is laid-back with retro decor, and homey vegetarian and vegan breakfast (including their cakes).
Their menu is hard to resist, with every single dish made from scratch, including their hash browns…
Easy to see why it’s the longest standing vegetarian cafe in Dulwich!
Must try: Their famous Veggie Breakfast
5. Spinach Restaurant
161 Lordship Ln, London SE22 8HD
For a vegetarian breakfast in Dulwich, look no further than Spinach.
This casual, trendy spot in East Dulwich (with rustic wooden tables and beautiful foliage in every corner) is a dreamy oasis for plant-loving brunch lovers.
Their well-balanced brunch menu is a love-letter to seasonal ingredients and whole foods with a green feast menu sure to do you right in.
Must try: The Sourdough with Artichoke Purée, Sautéed Mushrooms and Artichoke Crisps
6. Harri’s Kitchen
401 Lordship Ln, London SE22 8JN
There’s something tucking into a traditional cafe for a cosy brunch that can’t be topped. In Dulwich’s case, this is Harri’s Kitchen.
The neighbourhood cafe and deli prides itself on its fresh and seasonal ingredients in a gorgeous, sunlit setting.
Their stellar brunch menu is a treat, with great portions. From pancakes and the traditional English Breakfast, to Pork & Chicken Souvlakia and a homemade Moussaka. Tough choices!
Must try: The Cyprus Sandwich
7. French Cafe Bistrot
44 Forest Hill Rd, London SE22 0RR
Finally, with an uncanny ability to transport you straight to a remote Parisian avenue, French Cafe Bistrot.
Here you can go for a traditional French breakfast, from baguettes to croissants, or change it up with one of their homemade dishes served with mash (including their delicious Beef Bourguignon!).
And don’t leave without a nibble of their divine pastries.
Must try: The Homemade Quiche
