Some of my favourite memories in London are tied to slow days spent wandering around Primrose Hill — grabbing a coffee, catching up with a friend, and finding a new café corner to fall in love with.

It’s one of those neighbourhoods that feels like its own little world — and of course, in every great neighbourhood…there’s great coffee.

So if you’re in the area (or planning to be), here are 5 Primrose Hill cafés I think you’ll absolutely love — from a Londoner.

Primrose Bakery

69 Gloucester Ave, Primrose Hill, London NW1 8LD

If you’re looking for a Primrose Bakery, look no further than…Primrose Bakery!

With beautifully crafted seasonal cakes, cupcakes, and of course, coffee, you’ll love this quaint family-owned business.

Must-Try: Strawberry & Prosecco Cupcake

How to Get There: Go to Baker Street station and leave via the North exit. Walk to Baker Street Station and wait at bus stop “C” going towards Islington Angel. Take the 274 bus for 9 stops (less than 10 minutes) and get off at Regent’s Park Road.

From there walk straight and make a left on Princess Road. Walk to the end of the road (around 5 minutes) until you reach Gloucester Road. You should see it on your left-hand side.


Ripe Kitchen

136 Regent’s Park Rd, Primrose Hill, London NW1 8XL

For more of a funky vibe, head to Ripe Kitchen.

With a perfect menu for brunching this is a great spot to head to in the morning before exploring the area.

Oh, and remember to leave room for their handmade desserts!

Must-Try: Blueberry French Toast (only on weekends)

How to Get There: Go to Baker Street station and leave via the North exit. Walk to Baker Street Station and wait at bus stop “C” going towards Islington Angel. Take the 274 bus for 8 stops (less than 10 minutes) and get off at Albert Terrace/London Zoo.

From there walk straight and make a slight left on Regent’s Park Road (around 7 minutes). It’ll be on your right-hand side.


The Little One Coffee Shop

A quaint cafe to pop in on your way to Primrose Hill, The Little One Coffee Shop is more of a low-key spot (although writing about it is rather high-key of me).

Enjoy their lovely muffins, crepes, espressos, and coffee inside or from its cobblestone streets.

Must-Try: Banana, Honey & Cinnamon Muffin

How to Get There: Go to Baker Street station and leave via the North exit. Walk to Baker Street Station and wait at bus stop “C” going towards Islington Angel. Take the 274 bus for 8 stops (less than 10 minutes) and get off at Albert Terrace/London Zoo.

Greenberry Café

A rustic cafe known for its charcuterie and homemade icecream, Greenberry Cafe is a great place to get your comfort food fix.

They also have an all-day dining menu, making it a perfect place to end
a day in Primrose Hill.

Must-Try: Haas Avocado Toast with Sweet Potato Hummus, Poached Eggs & Dukkah

How to Get There: Go to Baker Street station and leave via the North exit. Walk to Baker Street Station and wait at bus stop “C” going towards Islington Angel. Take the 274 bus for 8 stops (less than 10 minutes) and get off at Albert Terrace/London Zoo.

The Coffee Jar

83 Parkway, Camden Town, London NW1 7PP

And last but not least, the Coffee Jar.

With a cosy ambiance, this cafe snugged in Primrose Hill is a local favourite.

Head over for artisan coffee, lovely pastries, and cookies made with all the love.

Must-Try: Kaffa Forest Organic Expresso

How to Get There:

Take bus 88 at stop “A” from Westminster Stn/Parliament Square. Ride for 16 stops to Parkway. As soon as you get off the bus, take a slight turn around the corner and in less than a minute it’ll be on your left.

or

Take bus 24 at stop “C” from Westminster Stn/Parliament Square. Ride for 14 stops to Camden Town Station. Walk straight for a few seconds then take a left on Parkway. Walk for around 5 minutes and it’ll be on your left!
