Usually outshined by its pastel-coloured Notting Hill neighbour, Ladbroke Grove is one of those ‘secret’ gems in London that charms you with beautiful streets, quirky boutique shops, and, of course, delightful eateries for the best part of the day.

We’re talking brunch — the meal that lets you sleep in and still devour everything from fluffy, syrup-drizzled pancakes to mouthwatering avocado toast.

So if you’re looking for cosy, fancy, or quirky spots to fuel you for the day, Ladbroke Grove’s brunch scene has got you covered. And here’s a list of the best ones you need to try! From a Londoner.

Ladbroke Grove Brunch Spots You Need to Try

1. Electric Diner

191 Portobello Rd, London W11 2ED

Are you even doing brunch if you haven’t tried Electric Diner? I’m telling you, the vibe is as charged as its name!

Nestled snuggly on Portobello Road, this gem serves up an American-French fusion that’ll knock your socks off – or, um, maybe just loosen your belt a notch.

Their honey-fried chicken is just… wow. Top it off with a Bloody Mary, and you’ve got the perfect medicine if you’re nursing a bit of a doozy from the night before (wink, wink!).

Must try: The Coffee and Banana Smoothie

2. Lowry & Baker

339 Portobello Rd, London W10 5SA

Lemme introduce you to the ultimate cosy (and a bit eccentric) corner known as Lowry & Baker.

This one’s your friendly neighbourhood place where the bakers know your name and your coffee preference. So you know you’re taken care of properly.

Picture this: diving into a scrumptious homemade breakfast that warms your soul or tucking into a beautiful plate of the freshest eggs and sourdough toast you’ve ever tasted.

Want to be cheeky? Go for the fluffy classic. Seriously, the pancakes here have more layers than my London outfit!

Must try: The Red Velvet Pancakes (a new addition!)

3. Farm Girl

59A Portobello Rd, London W11 3DB

Do yourself a favour and head to Farm Girl, a cafe in Notting Hill (just a cheeky walk from Ladbroke Grove, no worries!) where healthy meets heavenly.

You really haven’t lived until you’ve tried their rose latte, embellished with real rose petals – it’s basically an Instagram model in a cup.

As for nosh, Farm Girl brings the farm-to-table vibe with an Aussie twist. Their acai bowls are a brightly coloured bouquet of deliciousness, and their chicken sandwich is the stuff of folklore – people cross oceans for this, trust me.

Must try: The Seoul Eggs

4. Leafwild Cafe

156 Ladbroke Grove, London W10 5NA

Step into Leafwild Cafe and feel the hustle of London melt away. This place is a sanctuary of natural light, luscious plants, and wooden accents – every nook screams ‘unwind here’.

Their Sweetcorn Spinach Waffles are the Mona Lisa of brunch plates — ingenious, much admired, and, yes, perfect for your socials. But the tasteful journey doesn’t stop there, as they also offer incredible Chickpea Frittata, Wraps, and insanely good (and healthy!) sweet treats.

Bonus — they even get their coffee beans from local roasters, so every sip supports the community. How’s that for a feel-good cup of coffee?

Must try: Their yummy Banana Bread

5. Bon’s Cafe

6 Ladbroke Grove, London W11 3BG

The unsung hero of the brunch world in Ladbroke Grove is Bon’s Cafe.

Tucked away just off the grand Holland Park Avenue, Bon’s is where you’d walk in for a coffee and stumble out having just eaten one of the best brekkies of your life.

It’s a Middle Eastern inspired brunch with no-frills, all-flavour, and a welcome as warm as their freshly baked croissants.

If you have time for only one thing, let it be their homemade cakes, sure to become a love-at-first-bite story you’ll recount for ages.

Must try: The Shakshuka, obviously!

6. Mike’s Cafe

12 Blenheim Cres, London W11 1NN

Mike’s Cafe is a not-so-hidden brunch gem in Ladbroke Grove. Picture this: a charming, family-run cafe with coffee that smells like mornings should, and portion sizes that make you go, “hold on, I need another set of cutlery.”

It’s a laid-back, unpretentious cafe with ‘good vibes only’ that serves proper home-cooked style grub. Passion, friendliness, and heavenly American pancakes (paired perfectly with a creamy milkshake) —Mike’s Cafe has it all in spades!

Don’t be shy, pop in and say hi… and by hi, I mean ‘one stack of pancakes, please’.

Must try: The French Toast

7. Eggslut Portobello

185 Portobello Rd, London W11 2ED

Ready to get a little food cheeky? Then shimmy on over to Eggslut Portobello. You read that right: it’s a fun name with a serious food philosophy.

Here, they’re all about the reverence and joy of the humble egg. Their brioche bun sandwiches are crammed with deliciousness—so loaded, you might wonder if the laws of physics still apply.

Their menu screams, ‘egg-ceptional’, and having gobbled up their dishes, I can confidently nod along in agreement. Hint: add a side of their delicious hashbrowns.

It’s the breakfast-of-champions reincarnated as a sandwich!

Must try: The Fairfax Avocado

8. Fez Mangal Ladbroke Grove

104 Ladbroke Grove, London W11 1PY

Fez Mangal Ladbroke Grove is where breakfast gets a spicy kick and turns into a brunch rendezvous.

As you’ve probably guessed by its exotic name, this is a Turkish hotspot with grills that could make a vegetarian reconsider. Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration, but their Lamb Shish Kebab is fiercer than a puma in stilettos.

And for early risers, the Turkish breakfast (think olives, cheese, tomato, cucumber, eggs) is a rainbow platter that screams ‘more please!’

Must try: The Yogurtlu

9. The Tin Shed

33 All Saints Rd, London W11 1HE

The Tin Shed may sound industrial, but it’s entirely chic and a local favourite!

This tiny, light-filled corner of joy is the peak of brunch places. Artisan coffee, scrumptious cakes (please, please, don’t leave without trying one!), and salads like mother nature intended. It’s seriously a chillax spot!

Just bring your appetite and a favourite book, and let The Tin Shed do the rest. If you’re in during a good day, the outdoor terrace is the best spot in the house.

Must try: The Turkish Eggs

10. Butter Bakery Bar & Cafe

219 Westbourne Park Rd, London W11 1EA

To end the list with a bang, allow me to sprinkle sweetness onto your brunch trail with Butter Bakery Bar & Cafe.

If you’re dreaming of mouthwatering pastries in every delightful form — think warm, buttery croissants, full-bodied coffee, and edible artworks in the form of cakes — this is your dream come true.

The aroma of their freshly baked treats could draw you in from miles away. You’ll walk in vowing to have just a single cinnamon roll, and walk out realising your willpower crumbled at the dazzling display.

Best part is you’ll have delicious savoury dishes to start before the ‘carb-conscious’ is conveniently forgotten! Trust me, they’re as good as their freshly baked pieces of heaven.

Must try: The Persian Platter
