5 Best Cafes in Shoreditch, London

Look Mum No Hands!
49 Old St, London EC1V 9HX
Fun fact, my friend used to work here! So I’ve had plenty of experience banging away my workday at this bike-repair turned Shoreditch cafe (or Shoreditch cafe turned bike shop…depending who you ask).
If you’re a cyclist, you’ll definitely want to pay a visit to this Shoreditch coffee shop — with everything from bike maintenance to events and meetups, perfect for finding your people in London.
The cushioned seats in the back are my favorite, and if you’re there to work, you’re in good company — with tons of East Londoners calling this Shoreditch cafe home for the day.

Grind Shoreditch
213 Old St, Old Street, London EC1V 9NR
Escape the Grind with a trip to — Grind! Right smack on Old Street, it’d be hard to miss this Shoreditch cafe’s transparent windows and total 50’s vibe. I’ve gotten more work done here than I can count (usually over a glass of red wine), plus the people watching opps here are fantastic.
Grind now has tons of coffee shops around London, but this one is the original. And with an espresso and cocktail bar under the same roof (not to mention an all-day restaurant) it’s the perfect Shoreditch cafe to have a proper sit-down.

The Attendant

One of my favorite Shoreditch cafes — the Attendant’s coffee is where you go for a good cuppa…and quite the quirky ambiance.
With locally sourced food and coffee beans roasted in-house you’re in for some of the best coffee in Shoreditch.
But my favorite part about the Attendant is their dedication to the community. A coffee shop ‘built for the people’— Attendant makes sure to create the type of environment you’d want to work in for the day — with a zen vibe, whitewashed walls, and all the oat milk you can handle.

If you walk past the Hoxton hotel it’s easy to think all Londoners in there are guests — wrong! One of my favorite coworking spaces in Shoreditch — The Hoxton ‘open house hotel’ doubles as a coffee shop and restaurant, and is well-worth the sit-down.
With rustic high-ceiling and a crowd with way too many cool points, it’s definitely the best Shoreditch cafe to check out if you can.
