Best Maida Vale Brunch Spots

1. The Elgin
255 Elgin Ave., London W9 1NJ
Starting off with a quintessential British experience, The Elgin is a charming Maida Vale brunch spot that’s so cosy you’ll find it hard to leave.
Those in search of traditional favourites will love the Elgin’s Fry Up (with an equally delicious Veggie counterpart), while those eager to try something new can indulge in their Roasted Broccoli Foccacia or the Roasted Cauliflower & Chickpea Salad.
Of course, no brunch experience would be complete without a signature brunch cocktail. And as the Elgin transforms into a bar every evening, they’ll have you more than covered.
Must try: The Spiced Squash & Puy Lentil Soup
2. Cafe LaVille
453 Edgware Rd, London W2 1AT
If you haven’t heard of Cafe LaVille, you owe me one!
This hidden gem is nestled along the banks of Regent’s Canal, offering unparalleled views and a breathtaking ambience for your brunch.
As you step into this enchanting hideaway, you’ll be transported to a serene paradise that gives a whole different meaning to dining alfresco in London. Perfect to soak the views while sipping your expertly crafted coffee.
But let’s talk food! Here you can enjoy Italian-inspired frittatas, irresistible smoked salmon and cream cheese on toasted sourdough, and a lot (a lot) of pizzas. The pastries and cakes are the perfect finishing touch to Maida Vale’s best kept secret.
Must try: Breakfast LaVille
3. The Waterway
54 Formosa St, London W9 2JU
The Waterway sits on an enviable position along the Grand Union Canal, with a stunning outdoor terrace perfect for taking in the canal views.
This sophisticated and modern restaurant offers a finer brunch experience, with an impressive menu featuring comforting classics like Eggs Benedict and Berries with Yogurt, as well as more adventurous options like their Cauliflower Steak.
Add a sexy Mimosa or a Bellini and you’ll be starting your day like an old Hollywood star!
Must try: The Mediterranean Brushchetta
4. The Warrington
Warrington Hotel, 93 Warrington Cres, London W9 1EH
Heading to a more historic gem, The Warrington is a great dining destination that’s a bit more lunch than brunch, but still super worth it!
It’s been in Maida Vale since the Victorian era, and it has a lovely atmosphere for a lazy start of the day. Its menu also exudes British tradition, with dishes like Fish and Chips, Pie of the Day, and Gammon and Egg taking centre stage.
Make sure you leave space for their insanely good desserts, including the Apple and Cinnamon Crumble and the classic Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Must try: The Warrington Curry
5. Darcie & May Green
Grand Union Canal, Sheldon Square, Central W2 6DS
Darcie & May Green is exactly what you’d picture when you think of the “perfect London brunch spot”.
With aesthetics so gorgeous you’ll faint, a lovely terrace with even more lovely views, and dishes that reflects the Aussie brunch culture, this is an incredible brunch spot not to be missed when in Maida Vale.
It’s the brainchild of the acclaimed Daisy Green Collection, with both proper, and improper (but, oh so fun) bottomless brunch every weekend.
I wont’ even speak about the menu because there are way to many good options to squeeze in this paragraph, but I will make a special mention to the fresh smoothies. Do yourself a favour and try them for yourself!
Must try: The Banana Bread Sandwich
6. The Peppermint
294 Elgin Ave., London W9 1JS
Inspired by the flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean, The Peppermint is an independent oasis nestled within Maida Vale.
With its warm, inviting interior and sun-drenched outdoor seating area, I swear you’re instantly transported to a bustling café in Southern Europe.
The food (and coffee) here is amazing, by the way. You can have the usual poached eggs served atop a delicious, freshly baked rosemary focaccia, or have one of the many homemade quiches with a fresh salad.
Must try: The Vegetarian Quiche
7. Petit Café
81 Castellain Rd, London W9 1EU
Petit Café is one of the most charming and romantic cafes in Maida Vale, and that’s saying something!
You’ll fall in love from the moment you see its blue facade, plus, the drinks and food are worth the shout too.
Indulge in a generous serving of buttery croissants accompanied by homemade raspberry jam, delicious quiches with fresh salad, or the iconic Egg Avocado. Got room for pastries? Good, keep it that way…
Must try: The Eggs Benedict
8. Billy’s Caffe
119 Shirland Rd, London W9 2EW
Finishing our list of hidden brunch gems in Maida Vale with Billy’s Caffe, a heart-warming homage to the classic London café experience.
Steeped in nostalgia, the timeless charm of this unpretentious spot is evident in its vintage-inspired décor, creating an irresistibly cosy atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch.
Their menu is packed with everything from English classics to fresh Mediterranean finds.
Must try: Lasagna
