Just off Chiswick High Road, room2 Chiswick places you in one of West London’s most easy-going neighbourhoods.

The hotel describes itself as a hometel, and unlike many stays using the term loosely, the rooms here genuinely lean apartment-style, with proper kitchenettes including a hob, fridge, sink and storage built in—ideal if you’re staying more than a night or two.

Sustainability also sits at the heart of the property, which makes sense given room2 Chiswick was designed as the world’s first net zero hotel.

From rooftop solar panels, to low-carbon materials throughout, a gorgeous breakfast at their onsite café Winnie’s and even beehives on the roof producing honey used on site.

The Welbeck Hotel

A short walk from Bond Street, The Welbeck sits in one of Marylebone’s quieter pockets—Marylebone.

Close enough for Oxford Street, Selfridges and Marylebone High Street to all feel easy on foot, but far enough removed that you’ll feel you’ve left the city centre altogether.

The hotel draws on the building’s Edwardian roots, and is connected to London’s long-standing literary and medical history. Harley Street is just around the corner and some of the area’s best-kept bookshops, galleries and restaurants are all within a few minutes’ walk. Not to mention the sinfully beautiful Regent’s Park.

The Windmill Clapham

And lastly, facing directly onto Clapham Common—The Windmill offers a very different London stay to your typical city centre hotel.

The pub here has stood proud since the seventeenth century, when it operated as Ye Olde Windmill Inn, later becoming a coaching inn before passing into Young’s ownership in the nineteenth century.

A stay in a pub hotel is a London experience well worth trying at least once, especially if it happens to be in one of South London’s most liveable neighbourhoods.

In just a hop and one skip, you can enjoy Clapham’s iconic Northcote Road and Clapham Old Town for a beautiful neighbourhood stay.

Despite its fantastic PR, the best parts of London are not always found in Central London—and hotels are no exception.

A few nights in Chiswick brings leafy west London mornings, Marylebone gives you one of the city’s most elegant central neighbourhoods, while Clapham offers a very different south London pace altogether.
