These are communities of Chinese people located outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan contributing to the rich diversity of the city – and the coffee scene!

The Best Chinatown, London Coffee Shops
1. Cafe TPT
21 WARDOUR STREET, W1D 6PN
Although it is a restaurant with a lot of Chinese options, Cafe TPT is the perfect spot in Chinatown to sit and relax with a hot drink.
It has a wide variety of traditional desserts and an amazing selection of coffee and tea. So even if you’re having a full meal, make sure you leave space for a hot drink or two…
The best part is that they are open all day long! Well, from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., but pretty much the hours you need to enjoy that sweet treat.
Must try: The Coconut & Mango with Sago
2. Candy Cafe
FIRST FLOOR, 3 MACCLESFIELD STREET, W1D 6AU
If you’re looking for bubble tea and Asian desserts, Candy Cafe is the place to go.
Here, you can mix & match your desserts, pick a classic house dessert (which include Filipino, Korean, and Chinese deliciousness), enjoy Belgian waffles, discover sweet dumplings, or unlock a tasty Taiwanese special.
For drinks, you’ll struggle to choose between smoothies, bubble tea, fruity ice teas, and a mix of flavoured coffee or traditional tea.
Best to come again and again!

3. TSUJIRI Chinatown

TSUJIRI is a Japanese dessert tea house that specialises in everything matcha. So if you’re a fan, I think I just found your new favourite spot in London.
Here you can enjoy classics like the matcha ice cream or the matcha latte. But also unique desserts that you won’t find anywhere else, like mochis, matcha madeleines, crepe cake, Shiratama Dango, and more.
They also do a lot of vegan options, so perfect for any matcha experience!

Chinatown, despite being an area packed with traditional Chinese restaurants, tea houses, and specialty shops, is also home to a variety of chain coffee shops ready to serve locals and tourists daily.
