The Best Breakfast & Brunch in Islington

1. Fig & Olive
151 Upper St, London N1 1RA
Transporting you to a backyard garden, Fig & Olive offers a varied brunch menu. Think, Eggs Florentine, Benedict, Royale, they have them all!
They also serve up a stunning Brioche French Toast topped with fruit and yogurt.
If you are interested in making your brunch boozy, you might enjoy their special breakfast deal where for just £22.95 you can choose any breakfast dish and drink, accompanied by a fresh fruit salad.
Long story short, definitely add this to your must list for places to go if you’re looking for a lovely Islington brunch experience!
2. Megan’s at the Sorting Office
6 Esther Anne Pl, London N1 1WF
Independently owned and community focused, Megan’s creates amazing brunch dishes with a Mediterranean influence.
The Turkish head chef works hard to serve up an array of unique Islington breakfast finds. Including an enticing Turkish Brunch Plate for two, all inclusive of Shakshouka baked eggs, cheese fondue and an array of breads and spreads.
And of course breakfast anywhere in England isn’t complete without a Full English, and Megan’s offers it classic, veggie or vegan, so no one is missing out!
3. Ottolenghi
287 Upper St, London N1 2TZ
The spectacular display of cakes in the front window of Ottolenghi will be what draws you in, but the breakfast menu will be what makes you stay.
Not only is there an incredible list of delicious options including a curated (and customisable) breadboard, but an ample list of coffee options.
Breakfast is available to order every day of the week until noon on weekdays, and 1pm on weekends making it a great option for those of us that like to sleep in.
P.S – The restaurant is walk-in only so make sure to get there early to snag a table!
4. SUNDAY cafe & restaurant
169 Hemingford Rd, London N1 1DA
This sought after spot is said to be the perfect Sunday brunch place, and not just because of its name!
With reasonable prices, large portions, and tasty dishes like omelettes with fresh avocado, or a poached eggs garnished with wild garlic pesto, whatever you decide to order you will not be disappointed with an Islington brunch stop to Sunday.
Just make sure to arrive early to avoid the queue!
5. Crêpeaffaire Islington
51-53 Camden Psge, London N1 8EA
No matter if you have a perpetual sweet tooth or are craving savoury flavors, Crepeaffaire is the place for you.
Their menu consists of over 25 different crepe combinations, including all things sweet, savory, or strictly breakfast — so definitely something for everyone.
Even if you aren’t a fan of crepes, they’ve got you covered with a selection of decked out pancakes and waffles that are sure to be just as good.
6. The Breakfast Club (Camden Passage)
The Breakfast Club is delivering the classic American experience in Islington with a diner-like vibe and scrumptious American breakfast goods to match.
With the entire breakfast menu being served from open till close, no matter what time you go, you’ll be able to indulge in the beauty that is Breakfast Club breakfast.
They’re also home to one of the best vegan brunches in Islington and vegetarian brunches in Islington too. With mouthwatering dishes like their Tahini Tofu Scramble or The All American, to name a few.
For a little something extra, come on the weekend to try their Saturday-Sunday breakfast dishes like Fried Chicken French Toast (yes, really).
7. Urban Social-Brunch
236 Upper St, London N1 1RU
One of my favourite things about Islington is the local coffee scene. Especially when it comes to Urban Social.
Although it’ll be easy to lose yourself in plates like the Feta Chili and Mint Avocado Toast (or their Home-made Falafel Wrap) their brunch drink menu is the main event.
With freshly made juices, like the “Fruit Basket” with apple, orange, and pineapple; and cocktails choices like Passionfruit or Lychee Raspberry Bellini’s — your tastebuds are in for a treat!
8. The Blue Legume Islington
177 Upper St, London N1 1RG
What’s better than a brunch in Islington? The Blue Legume’s Islington branch only breakfast deal!
For just £12.90 you’ll get any breakfast option paired with a hot drink of your choice, served until 4pm everyday.
From the staple of a Full English Breakfast to Eggs Galore and an array of fresh fruit choices, all their food is prepared with the season, so the ingredients are always fresh as can be!
