The Best Breakfast & Brunch in Stratford, London

1. Balans East
Westfield stratford city, Ground Floor, 123 The Street Shopping Centre, London E20 1EN
If you’re looking for a cosy brunch spot in Stratford, then say hello to Balans East.
The London-bred breakfast spot started in Soho in the 80’s, and has spread across the city ever since.
Enjoy their all day brunch featuring Balans classics like the Lobster Benedict, Eggy French Brioche with pecans or the Eggs in Hell (as naughty and delicious as they sound).
For a vegan brunch in Stratford definitely give their Vegan Matcha Pancakes a go, and for a vegetarian breakfast in Stratford — their Breakfast burrito is calling your name.
Whatever you choose, you’ll be privy to their gorgeous al fresco dining terrace and stylish interiors, so enjoy!
P.S – It can get rather busy here on the weekends, so book ahead!
2. XIX Nineteen
69 High St, London E15 4QZ
Bright and hip XIX Nineteen has become a brunch in Stratford hotspot for its European-Ukrainian cuisine and well-to-do breakfast menu.
Breakfast finds here range from fluffy Buttermilk pancakes to an all-day Full English, plus delicious lattes to start your day off right.
If brunch turns into lunch, they also serve authentic Ukranian dishes that are sure to impress. Just make sure you save room for their honey cake!
3. Kitchen E20
Queen Elizabeth, Olympic Park, 20 International Way, London E20 1FD
Set in the heart of Olympic Park is the locally-famed Kitchen E20.
The Stratford breakfast spot is housed in an airy high-ceiling venue dripping in ivy and fern (perfect for your Instagram breakfast shots), plus an open kitchen to watch all your Stratford brunch magic in action.
Pop in for a filling brunch of choice which may include starting with their fresh Energise or Detox smoothie, followed by a hearty Eggs Florentine or Shakshuka. And if you’re extra hungry, waffles with Chantilly cream & fresh berries to share. The choices are endless!
They also serve one of the best bottomless brunches in Stratford, with unlimited mouth-watering cocktails every weekend from 12-4pm (live DJ included).
4. Las Iguanas Stratford
Level 2, The Gallery, Westfield stratford city, London E20 1ET
If you’ve lived in London for any amount of time you’re bound to have heard of Las Iguanas, but did you know they do breakfast too?
The chain classic features all things Latin American and American cuisine, and a bottomless brunch in Stratford worth checking out.
Enjoy any of their main courses alongside unlimited cocktails, prosecco or beer for two glorious hours all for £31.95 per person.
Fair warning that if you’re looking for your typical breakfast staples (outside of Avo on toast), you may want to give this spot a miss.
But if a Brazilian Beach Cheese Burger, Jackfruit Triple Tacos, or Chilli Con Carne Bowls tickle your fancy, then it’s definitely worth giving a go.
They also have tons of plant-based options here if you’re looking for a vegan or vegetarian brunch in Stratford.
5. The Breakfast Club Hackney Wick
Level 2, The Gallery, Westfield stratford city, London E20 1ET
Fair warning that as an American living in London, I very biasedly love the The Breakfast Club. And fair warning number 2 that technically this is a brunch spot in Hackney Wick, not Stratford. But considering they border on each other it’s definitely worth the mention.
The American breakfast spot has been taking the hearts (and stomachs) of Londoners for years, with favourites like The All American Breakfast and a weekend brunch menu that is sure to knock your socks off.
Take your pick from a long list of yummy breakfast dishes like their Fried Chicken French Toast, The Big Stack Pancakes, Truffle Mushroom Benedict, Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs, Huevos Rancheros — the list goes on!
6. Unit Six
The East Mall, London, EMEA E15 1
Any place that says they have the best coffee in Stratford is worth putting to the test. And Unit Six doesn’t disappoint.
Outside of their passion for a good brew, they also specialise in hand-made breakfast finds like a yummy Full English Breakfast (or Vegetarian Full English Breakfast), Bacon and Egg Brioche or Salmon and Cream Cheese bagel.
For something on the sweeter side definitely give their fresh pastries a go, including cinnamon buns, chocolate and hazelnut croissants, pastel de natas and more!
7. Caffe Concerto Stratford The Street
FC2001, Westfield Shopping Centre, London E20 1GN
Set in the heart of Stratford is none other than Caffe Concerto.
The Italian chain is no stranger to the London breakfast scene, and is a beautiful Stratford brunch spot to start your day before some Westfield Mall shopping.
My personal favourites here are the Blueberry Pancakes or Garden Breakfast, but they also do a lovely selection of breakfast tartines if you’re looking to mix things up.
Once you’ve indulged in a lazy brunch, have a sip over one of their stellar cappuccinos before starting your day in Stratford.
8. Hand Cafe
11 Victory Parade, East Village, London E20 1FS
For a simple yet delicious Stratford breakfast make your way to the Hand Cafe.
The local cafe specialises in takeaway breakfast staples like warm toasties, Greekish pies, dainty pastries and speciality coffee.
Perfect for grabbing some Stratford brunch to go and having a walk around Olympic Park.
9. Sawmill Cafe
51-53 W Ham Ln, London E15 4PH
The Sawmill Cafe is a quaint family-run brunch spot that believes all-day breakfast in Stratford should totally be a thing.
Come any time of day for your go at their sweet and savoury collection of The Sawmill Breakfast with smoked bacon, Cumberland sausage, fried eggs, hash browns, grilled tomato, mushroom, baked beans and sourdough toast (need I say more) or something to hit your sweet tooth like their Banana and Pecan or Forest Berry Pancakes.
All the food is prepared passionately and daily by their dedicated chefs, so you’re definitely in for a quality breakfast here. Don’t forget to order a coffee!
10. Olympic Cafe
61 W Ham Ln, London E15 4PH

For something truly local, have a pop into the Olympic Cafe.
The neighbourhood Stratford breakfast spot is known for its mega friendly service, cosy atmosphere and a banging Full-English (with great prices too).
If it’s a nice day pay a visit to their garden and enjoy a home cooked breakfast in Stratford like no other.
P.S – If you’re looking for halal breakfast in Stratford – this is the place!
11. The Abbey Tap
12-14 Broadway, London E15 4QS
The Abbey Tap is Stratford’s new pub on the block, and they come with bottomless brunch.
Tuck in to two hours of bottomless drinks like their ‘Ex on the beach’ or ‘Tiki Sunshine’ alongside any dish of choice (like their Jackfruit crumpets or Chicken & Bacon waffles) all for £28 per person.
With a deal like this it easily makes the cut the best bottomless brunch in Stratford, happy sipping!
12. The View Tube
The Greenway, Marshgate Ln E15 2PJ
Cosy, canalside and built on community — The View Tube is where you go to have great coffee, great views of Olympic Park and a great brunch in Stratford too.
Bagels, vegan and vegetarian brunch is the name of the game here. From mushroom, salmon, sausage or bacon bagels, and more, to their Veggie Breakfast, Vegan Breakfast or Burrito Breakfast if you’re looking to take your breakfast to go (with a lovely walk around Olympic Park to follow I hope).
