Halloween here isn’t just house parties and pumpkin carving (although there’s plenty of that, don’t you worry).
In a city with a million things to do at all times, Halloween in London offers plenty to get up to for absolutely everyone.
From light trails at Kew Gardens to rooftop horror films, full-blown club nights and even ghostly bus rides through the city, there’s no shortage of ways to get into the spooky spirit.
Of course, with so many options, it’s easy to end up indecisive and just stay in instead with a bag of Halloween sweets instead (no shame).
With that said, here are my top 10 recommendations for the best Halloween events happening this season for every taste, and how to book your tickets, so you don’t miss out.

1. Halloween at Kew
Every Halloween Kew Gardens transforms for the spooky season, and this year is no exception.
Their after-dark trail has quickly become a London Halloween staple, where you’ll wander through tunnels of light, oversized pumpkins and eerie woodland displays that are far more atmospheric than they are terrifying.
It’s a good pick if you want Halloween’s seasonal vibes without the full-on scares.

2. Halloween Silent Disco at Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station Silent Disco
For a Halloween night out with a twist, Battersea Power Station is hosting a one-night-only Silent Disco inside its cool bar Control Room B.
Expect flickering lights, cobwebs, Jack-o’-lanterns and DJs spinning across multiple channels, all set against an industrial backdrop. Spooky!

3. Rooftop Film Club: Fireside Films
Rooftop Film Club: Fireside Films
Watching a cult horror film under the stars is hard to beat.
Lucky for you, London’s iconic Rooftop Film Club brings out blankets, heaters, and plenty of themed cocktails this time of year, perfect for a Halloween outing!
Expect classics like Halloween or The Shining playing at their Peckham and Stratford venues.

4. Ministry of Sound’s Annual Halloween Party
For one of London’s biggest club nights of the year, head to the legendary Ministry of Sound for their annual Halloween rave.
Spread across four rooms with over ten DJs, expect everything from house and bass to hip hop, R&B, disco and tech house — all set against horror décor, CO₂ cannons, strobe lighting and costumed performers.
Coming in costume is a must, and tickets always sell out in advance — so grab yours early if you want to dance ‘til dawn at one of the capital’s most infamous Halloween parties.

5. The Grand’s Massive Halloween Party 2
The Grand Massive’s Halloween Party
If you’re after a classic London Halloween night out, The Grand in Clapham Junction is hosting its annual blow-out on Friday 31 October 2025.
Expect spooky décor, DJs, dancers, prizes for the best costumes and plenty of tongue-in-cheek (yes, they promise “The Time Warp” will be played).

6. Jack the Ripper Tour
It simply isn’t Halloween in London without a little Jack the Ripper.
This interactive guided walking tour through Whitechapel takes you back to the autumn of 1888, when the infamous murders gripped Victorian London.
With the help of atmospheric storytelling, Ripper-themed projections and a guide who knows their history inside out, you’ll walk the same cobbled streets and alleyways where the crimes once shocked the city.

For something spooky but a little less serious, hop aboard the black double-decker Ghost Bus Tour this Halloween in London.
This 75-minute ride whisks you past London’s most haunted landmarks — from Westminster Abbey to the Tower of London — with a theatrical guide spinning tales of ghosts, murder and grisly history.
What sets it apart is the dark comedy: the tongue-in-cheek humour balances the creepy storytelling, so you’ll get just enough frights without it feeling too intense.

8. Hobbledown Heath Pumpkin Patch (& Hobbleween)
If you’re looking for a wholesome Halloween day out that isn’t just for the little ones, Hobbledown Heath in Hounslow has you covered for the season.
Their Pumpkin Patch runs all through October (yes, including Halloween itself), with wheelbarrows at the ready so you can pick the perfect pumpkin for carving or cooking.
There’s seasonal games, autumnal food stalls, marshmallow toasting and plenty of photo spots that make it just as enjoyable for adults as it is for kids.
P.S. – For something solely kid-friendly, the sister site in Epsom runs Hobble’ween every year — packed with interactive shows, themed activities, crafts and plenty of spooky fun.

9. Hallowe’en at Hogwarts (Warner Brother’s Studios: The Making of Harry Potter)
Every October, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter transforms for Hallowe’en at Hogwarts.
The Great Hall is filled with floating pumpkins, cauldrons bubble away with sweets, and the Dark Mark glows throughout the sets, giving the whole experience a wonderfully eerie twist.
The best part? You don’t need a special ticket. Seasonal events like Hallowe’en at Hogwarts (and Hogwarts in the Snow at Christmas) are all included with a standard Studio Tour entry, so no matter when you visit, there’s always something extra to enjoy.
I recommend booking this particular tour because it includes return transport from central London. It saves you the hassle of navigating trains and shuttle buses and makes the whole day trip far smoother — especially if you’re heading out specifically for the Hallowe’en magic.

Thorpe Park Fright Nights
Last but not least — and worth the journey out of London — Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights are the UK’s most popular Halloween event for a reason (I went for the first time in university!).
Running throughout October, the park transforms after dark with scare mazes, live actors, immersive horror zones and its signature rides running late into the night.

🎫 Tickets: from £39 for adult day tickets
Getting there: From London Waterloo, trains run direct to Staines (you can use your Oyster or bank card tap-in/out), from there you can take a shuttle bus straight to the park in around 10 minutes. Driving is also an option, with paid parking on site.
