Beanberry Coffee Company
30B Fife Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1SZ
The Beanberry Coffee Company is as local Kingston cafe as they come, right to Fife Road, and home to a delicious espresso.
Whether you’re looking for a chilled place to work, meet or grab a hot drink it’s a fantastic coffee shop in Kingston upon Thames for a pit stop in the neighbourhood.
P.S. – All their beans are organic too!
Old London Road Cafe
52 Old London Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 6QF
Sat on Kingston’s infamous Old London Road is the Old London Road Cafe.
As far as coffee shops in Kingston go they’ve got it all covered really — an independent café with specialty coffee, fresh food, and board games (Cards Against Humanity anyone?).
The vibes are also super relaxed here so feel free to bring your laptop if you fancy getting some work done in Kingston too.
139 Coffee
27 Sury Basin, Kingston upon Thames KT2 5NZ
When looking for local cafes in Kingston upon Thames for great coffee I found 139 Coffee, and I haven’t been disappointed yet!
Their founder opened shop in 2016 on a mission to serve quality coffee and quality food to the Kingston upon Thames community.
Expect a deliberately small menu of your favourite coffee order here + small meals like avo on toast or porridge bowls.
Tiffani Coffee Shop
85 Crescent Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 7RE
The Tiffani Coffee Shop is a tiny (and website-less) cafe in Kingston upon Thames that feels like you’ve stepped into your best friend’s living room.
Boasting a friendly staff with fresh pastries to match you can’t go wrong with a pop in here before exploring Kingston upon Thames.
Canbury Secret Cafe
Canbury Gardens, Kingston upon Thames KT2 5AJ
Canbury Gardens is one my favourite bits of Kingston, and the only thing that could make it better is Canbury’s Secret Cafe.
Spoiler alert that it’s not that much of a secret (on your right as you’re walking in the gardens), but all said I did secretly not expect a kiosk coffee shop to have so much to offer.
If it’s the summertime — get your fingers on one of their artisan gelatos.
Otherwise their Italian coffee, hot cocoa, wraps, treats, and more are sure to tempt you on your Canbury Gardens walk.
Mimosa
The Griffin Centre, Market Pl, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JT
Proudly Portuguese Mimosa is a lovely little cafe and shop at the Griffin Centre, serving a taste of Portugal alongside a truly authentic Portuguese experience to Kingston locals.
Step inside to be transported to more Port wine, charcuterie, and cured ham than you can lay your eyes on — enjoying their signature MIMOSA coffee and gooey Pastel de Natas in the meantime.
Fika
265 King’s Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 5JH
I walked past the gorgeous little Fika cafe months ago, and have been hooked ever since!
Of course, it’s expected that Instagrammble cafes won’t have much to offer those in search of an actual good cup of coffee, but you won’t be disappointed here.
The Swedish cafe sits on the quiet corner of King’s Road with yummy smoothies, breakfast, pastries, and hot drinks — all offered in lovely airy interiors.

Ginger Bees Café
Queens Promenade, Portsmouth Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2FS
Given its riverside location, I’d be remiss without mentioning a Kingston upon Thames cafe on the river, in other words — Ginger Bees Cafe.
The unassuming coffee shop is perfect for a quick pick-me-up before strolling through Kingston or simply taking up some people-watching along the Thames.
Pair it with their Pain aux Raisin and you’re in Kingston heaven!
