Teddington has long been known for its spectacular riverside views, pub scene and suburban charm — but there’s a fantastic coffee scene here too.
Whether you’re prepping for a stroll along Teddington Lock or simply looking for a hot cuppa to start the day, here’s the best cafes and coffee shops in Teddington, London — from a Londoner.
The Best Cafes & Coffee Shops in Teddington, London

1. Gosia’s Cafe & Deli
52 Broad St, Teddington TW11 8QY

I’ll never forget the moment I saw Gosia’s window spilling with fresh baked goods, it’s been a love affair every since. The Polish bakery is a lovely cafe, restaurant and family-owned business, perfect for a morning pit stop in Teddington.
I’ll admit, with so many goods to choose from it’s definitely the kind of place that needs a second visit (or a third). But I particularly love their Strawberry Cheesecake and Pistachio Carrot Cake, with a coffee of course.
2. The Fallow Deer Cafe
130 High St, Teddington TW11 8JB
The Fallow Deer Cafe has everything you’d want from a Teddington coffee shop; with independent character, friendly service, and yes, great coffee.
Run lovingly by the Deer family you can do everything from pop in for a sit-down flat white to breakfast and a sweet treat. Make sure you try their homemade sausage rolls if you can.
3. Flying Cloud Cafe
27 Ferry Rd, Teddington TW11 9NN
I’ll admit I hold high expectations for any Teddington coffee shop with a name like Flying Cloud Cafe, but luckily, they don’t disappoint. Full disclaimer that for this Teddington cafe, you’ll definitely want to enjoy it on a sunny day.
The cafe offers unrivalled views of Teddington Lock, and homemade ice cream and cakes to die for (please please try the ‘Apple Drizzle’).
4. Woof Cafe
31 Broad St, Teddington TW11 8QZ
For my coffee aficionados, head straight to Woof Coffee. Although there’s plenty of pastries and treats to be had here (especially of the gluten-free variety) their claim to fame has and always will be their premium coffee.
Sip on your favourite roast and enjoy the local atmosphere, and if you’re keen — get some coffee to take home too!
5. Islay Coffee & Cake
74 High St, Teddington TW11 8JD
For a Teddington cafe with plenty to offer, head to Islay Coffee & Cake. All treats here are made with a Michelin star take ,with the calm sounds of jazz lulling in the background.
Small but mighty the new cafe has already left plenty of Teddington locals happy, so pay it a visit to see for yourself! And get the Cornflake cupcake for me…
