Where to Brunch in Putney, London

1. Tried & True
279 Upper Richmond Rd, Putney
Tried & True might just be the best name for a brunch spot I’ve ever heard, because brunch is just that, tried and true.
Their all-day menu always includes brunch, so at any point during your wander through Putney, make a stop here for classic brunch and breakfast favourites like their Buttermilk Pancake Stack or their new Brioche French Toast topped with dollop of greek yogurt and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
If you’re looking for a pick-me-up they also have a great coffee list with dozens of drinks to try.
2. The Dynamo
200-204 Putney Bridge Rd, London SW15 2NA
The brunch menu at The Dynamo is superb.
With sweet breakfast pastries, like Pain au Chocolat, Almond Croissants, and thick slices of Banana Bread, you can make it just a quick stop — but when the full brunch menu looks the way it does, why would you want to?
Dig into the Kimchi Cheese Toastie, Croissant Benedict, or better yet, fill up on the Brunch Poke Bowl filled with roasted sweet potato, avocado, poached egg, kimchi, slow-roast, tomatoes, portobello mushroom, dukkah, and drizzled with sriracha aioli. Yum!
Many of the menu items here are also gluten-free or vegan, making it a great place for a vegan brunch in Putney.
3. Gazette Putney
147 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 2TX
No, Gazette Putney is not a news outlet — but its brunch does deserve to be on the front page news.
Bringing the flavours of France here to London, you can enjoy a variety of different savoury Croques, and Coccettes. And of course, what kind of french eatery would it be if they didn’t have crepes?
Keep it classic with the Lemon & Sugar or make it modern with Nutella.
P.S. – If you’re looking for a mid-morning cocktail, check out the ‘Forbidden Breakfast’ section on their menu for some yummy cocktail creations.
4. Home SW15
146 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 2SW
With bright interiors and sunny windows at the front, wooden tables, and art on the walls — Home SW15 is the perfect place to head if you’re looking for a cosy Putney brunch with a bit of class.
Enjoy a plateful of Eggs Benedict, or the Chili & Garlic Spinach on ‘Made at Home’ Warm Focaccia (mmm, yes please) alongside a glass of your favourite juice, cocktail, or even champagne if you fancy.
P.S. – Home SW15 only accepts card!
5. Coppa Club
29 Brewhouse Ln, London SW15 2JX
Right on the Thames, Coppa Club has some of the best riverside views in Putney.
Offering indoor/outdoor pod-style seating you can count on them for brunch with any weather London decides to bless us with that day.
With breakfast options like the Crushed Avocado and Eggs on Sourdough with Chili & Lime, or the Garden Breakfast (covered in veggies with a tasty little addition on Halloumi) — brunch here will not disappoint.
You can also order tea by the mug or pot, which if you know the UK — is definitely a hit.
6. Smuggler’s Cafe
58 Lower Richmond Rd., London SW15 1JT
“So, today’s special is the Gooey Brie, Mushroom & Bacon Crep-“
“SOLD!’
This is pretty much my reaction to anything on the Smuggler’s Cafe menu.
My particular favourite is their Blueberry Pancakes — topped with extra Berries, Pecans, and Clotted Cream drizzled with Maple Syrup, and that’s just page one.
7. Wharf Cafe
56 Lower Richmond Rd., London SW15 1JT
You can never go wrong with sweet and simple, and the Wharf Cafe has both down to a T.
Choose from their two set menus (one has chips and one is without), both plating up eggs, bacon, sausage, and beans on your choice of toast or buttered bread.
They also have a Full English, Veggie Full English, or Turkish Breakfast and eggs almost any way you can think of. From hearty omelettes to egg sandwiches, toast, and more!
8. Social Crew Cafe London
38-40 Lower Richmond Rd., London SW15 1JP
With specialty coffee, an artisanal menu, and a prime Putney location, Social Crew Cafe will definitely make you feel like a local.
They pride themselves on serving up hearty & healthy breakfast options that’ll make you feel better than you came.
If you’re anything like me and always in the mood for a cup of joe, their Coffee Infused French Toast is a must.
But if you want something a little less caffeine centric — the Morning Burger is the way to go with your pick of Turkey or Chicken Sausages, paired with Egg, Cheese, Avocado & Relish inside a Brioche Bun (yum!).
9. East Putney Tavern
94-98 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 2SP
Cheers! That’s what you’ll be saying just a few moments into Saturday bottomless brunch at the East Putney Tavern.
The deal is two-fold. You can go for two courses and drinks for £38, or three courses for only £4 more, both come with unlimited Bellinis or Prosecco, and I think the choice is pretty obvious…but I’ll let you choose for yourself.
As for the dishes, you can pick from a range of mouthwatering options like the Buttermilk Waffles with Caramelised Banana and Maple Syrup or the Sticky Pork Belly Bites.
10. Piptree
40 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 2RX
Brunch is a specialty at Piptree.
Serving an all-day breakfast menu, it’s the perfect little spot to go brunch’n in Putney with Instagrammable interiors and a stacked menu.
Fancy a trip around the world? Have your go at everything from a Full English to a Cali and a New Yorker.
If I were you though, I would get the Bacon Brioche, which I think speaks for itself.
