The Best Cafes & Coffee Shops in Chiswick, London

Urban Pantry

15 DEVONSHIRE ROAD, W4 2EU

Urban Pantry is easily one of the most popular cafés in Chiswick — and for good reason.

Their award-winning independent spot is known for its elevated British classics, with a seasonal menu that covers everything from perfectly poached eggs to stacked pancakes and everything in between.

It’s a lovely shout any time of day, but brunch is where it really shines. Just a heads up: it’s walk-ins only, and it does get busy — so best to go without a tight schedule. Still, totally worth the wait.

Must try: The outstanding Bananarama

Angie’s Chiswick

114 CHISWICK HIGH ROAD, W4 1PU

Angie’s isn’t just a café — it’s a bit of a local institution. Since 2013, they’ve been bringing a splash of South African sunshine to Chiswick, and you’ll definitely want to arrive hungry.

The menu covers everything from fresh fish to hearty meat dishes, stacked sandwiches, vibrant salads and tempting desserts — all made to order, and properly flavourful.

Dare I say the coffee’s just as good as the food?

Must try: The Corn Fritter with Avocado, Maple Bacon, Tomato & Poached Egg

The Post Room Cafe

2 BEDFORD CORNER, S PARADE, W4 1LD

Even with all the cafés in central Chiswick, The Post Room is still a stand out.

Just a two-minute stroll from Turnham Green Station, it’s a proper haven for coffee lovers — with all coffee made fresh from award-winning speciality beans.

The brunch menu’s got a bit of everything, and the outdoor seating is perfect for a slow weekend morning in Chiswick.

Must try: The Pistachio Rose Cake

Cafe 403

403 CHISWICK HIGH ROAD, W4 4AR

Tucked just by the Gunnersbury Triangle, Cafe 403 has been a local favourite since the 1950s — and it’s still going strong.

They’re known for their hearty breakfasts, plus all the usual café suspects — teas, coffees, snacks — served from as early as 6am.

The team’s lovely too, so if you’re in the area more than once, definitely pop back.

Must try: Traditional English Breakfast

The Coffee Traveller

58 THAMES ROAD, W4 3RE

The Coffee Traveller is one of my favourite low-key cafés in Chiswick — laid-back, welcoming, and full of charm.

What I love about this little café is how much thought’s gone into the space. It’s cosy, comfy, and just the kind of place you end up staying longer than planned.

There are a few rooms to choose from, plus a private yard out back — and with a solid line-up of drinks and sweet treats, it’s an easy favourite.

Must try: The Moroccan Shakshuka

Waft Coffee

280 CHISWICK HIGH ROAD, W4 1PD

Waft Coffee is a charming independent café that fits right into Chiswick’s slower, village-y vibe.

They’ve got a strong coffee game, fresh baguettes and rolls, and a rotating line-up of pastries that changes daily — so there’s always something new to try.

It’s a great pick whether you’re popping in for a solo work session, catching up with a friend, or just grabbing a quiet moment with a flat white. Oh — and they’re dog-friendly too.

Must try: The Nougat Twist

Cafe Grove

7 GROVE PARK ROAD, W4 3RS

Café Grove is a proper neighbourhood spot — right in the heart of Chiswick and perfect for a slow morning.

The breakfasts are hearty, the drinks menu’s got plenty to choose from, and the pastries smell as good as they taste.

If the sun’s out, grab a seat in their outdoor area to enjoy your coffee like a proper Chiswick local.

Must try: The Sesame Seed Panini Pesto Chicken

Chief Coffee

TURNHAM GREEN TERRACE MEWS, W4 1QU

If a lovely Chiswick cafe’s on your mind then Chief Coffee should absolutely be on your list.

Housed in a restored Victorian bottling factory with exposed brick and original beams — it’s a popular pick in Chiswick for a reason.

Tuck into a homemade pastry here to make your Instagram feed swoon.

Must try: The Espresso Chocolate Cake

Chain Coffee Shops in Chiswick

The village-like charm of Chiswick comes from its local businesses; however you are still in London—so you’ll be sure to find all the chains too— from Costa Coffee to Pret A Manger and Caffè Nero.
