THE TIME I…ENDED UP IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE FOR 12 HOURS

It was a Tuesday evening and me and my friend Stephanie were finishing up a little tourist day in London, we walked by Big Ben, and people watched an endless amount of selfies, and “can you take a picture of me?”‘s, ate and headed to the Jubilee line. To get there we had to go to Waterloo Station and if you’ve never been, I’ll paint the scene for you. You walk in and you’re immediately hit with a rush of Londoners, commuting, talking, eating, rushing… there’s a lot going on. But in the middle of the station there’s this huge screen with all the destinations, that will never cease to have hundreds of eyes on it at once. As we walked past my friend joked that we should up and “go to one of those places right now”, but in Candace fashion I had to one-up her…and so we went back to my flat, looked for the cheapest flight, slept for 2 hours, got up at 3am, and long story short, we ended up in Toulouse, a small city in the South of France…for 12 hours.

Now before you go off about how I must be some rich chick who can afford to up and go where she pleases let me have you know we found this flight for 20 POUNDS, and the crazy part, that’s expensive!

I’ll be honest Toulouse was never on my “Top 10 Travel Destinations” but this quaintVSCO Cam-3 city turned out to be somewhat of a fairytale for me in less than a day. The fall leaves on the colored brick streets, quirky museums, small cafes serving tiny French desserts mixed with an uncanny amount of attractive French people…I’m talking like every other person we passed was a 9 out of 10…you go Toulouse.

Now I’m not gonna tell you much more about this hidden travel gem because a) I plan to go again very soon and b) You can get your ass there for 10 pounds, NEXT WEEK. Don’t believe, here’s the screenshots.
